Description of Work | The College of Education & Human Sciences Recruitment Coordinator will work under the supervision of the CEHS Director of Recruitment to create, assess, and implement prospective student recruitment strategy for the college.
As the Recruitment Coordinator, you will:Provide regular updates about recruitment efforts to the supervising role, college level leaders, and the university admissions team. Utilize recruitment strategies to effectively provide academic counseling to prospective students and their parents, they will present the benefits and opportunities afforded to students and alumni of the college. Help prospective students and families understand the admission process, financial aid, college and university policies surrounding admission and future enrollment to the university. Interact with prospective students and families in person in one-to-one settings as well as in large group presentations. Be in contact with prospective students by phone and email. Represent CEHS alongside university admissions staff at high school visits, college fairs, community college visits, and other external events as well as on campus events such as daily visits and university wide recruitment events coordinated by the admissions office. Be responsible for additional projects connected to CEHS recruitment.
This position may require limited travel depending upon the time of the recruitment cycle and will require some night and weekend commitments during peak times. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and six months of public speaking experience. Proficiency with computer software to include word processing, database and spreadsheets essential. High level of professionalism and commitment to teamwork. Must have excellent demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications | The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree in education, human sciences, communications, marketing or related field and two years of experience working with diverse student populations. Campus involvement as an undergraduate student. Familiarity with high school and college relations operations. Experience working as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide in Admissions or an academic college, orientation leaders, or strong student leadership experience. Experience with admissions or recruitment preferred.
