Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The Regional Admissions Representative is responsible for growing enrollment in USC Palmetto College online degree completion programs through active recruitment activities within a designated service area.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials |
Preferred Qualifications | Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field is preferred.
Background experience in admissions, public relations, sales, or another student personnel area desired.
Preference will be given to those who currently live in the existing geographic market and have knowledge of the local businesses and secondary schools.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- The ability to work collegially within the Admissions staff is critical.
- Position requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills are required. A working knowledge of BANNER and Salesforce/Lightning is desired but not required.
- Ability to travel extensively and possess a valid driver license are required.
- Availability for some evening and weekend work is required.

Job Duty | Recruit prospective students into USC Palmetto College degree completion program from an assigned campus and geographic region of South Carolina.

Percentage of Time | 30Job Duty | Develop new inquiries through active outreach to local Palmetto College Campus students, technical college representatives and students, and business and community leaders; manage those prospects through various engagement activities and communication to support them through the application process; utilize approved recruitment policies and procedures; make prompt, continued and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based on career and education goals.

Percentage of Time | 30Job Duty | Serve as a liaison for prospective students through the admissions process and conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Adhere to all state and federal accreditation requirements, as well as the rules and regulations regarding student recruitment set forth by the University and Palmetto College.
