About the role
The Renewals Representative is responsible for proactively working with their assigned accounts to retain revenue and identify opportunities to expand relationships. Throughout the customer cycle, the Renewals Representative will use tools, automated resources and other team members to help mitigate risk while retaining customers and capturing annual increase revenue. The Renewals Representative will partner with other departments as needed to resolve roadblocks to renewal.
We are looking for a confident communicator and someone who needs to understand the detail. You will lead from the front and be proactive and entrepreneurial when partnering with customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensuring a seamless renewal process for the client, on time
- Ensure customers coming close to exceeding their usage allowances are aware
- Lead renewal process for all subscriptions, maintenance, Professional Services, and Managed Services renewals
- Collaborate with Sales team on strategic renewals and up-sells
- Through management of a predictable process with customer decision makers to ensure a seamless renewal process for the customer 4-6 months prior to renewal date with
- Proactively negotiate with the customer on their renewals if required while paying close attention to renewals at risk
Qualifications:
- Ability to fosters open communication & candid discussion at all levels of the organization
- Demonstratable skills dealing with executives and senior managers
- Ability to act as a calming and settling influence in crisis situations and is looked to by others for directions and guidance
- Strength in Rapidly identifies the significance of information and insightfully determines strategic action
- Experience in developing outstanding strategic ongoing customer relationships gaining trust and respect
- Ability to communicate complex concepts & issues, selecting language, tone, and format perfectly targeted to the audience
- Experience taking timely, strategic actions in designing and leading groups and organizations to facilitate their working together effectively
- Ability to professionally handle even the most difficult or sensitive situations with external parties, turning negative or adversarial situations into positive results for Blackbaud
- Consistency in thinking globally and incisively, taking a broad view of all variables that could impact future success
- Ensures the mission, goals and priorities are understood by all

The starting base salary and annual proposed commission is $53,900.00 to $69,800.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
