Job Description: Renewals Representative – Growth Accounts

Position Overview
The Cornerstone Renewals Representative – Growth Accounts plays a critical role in driving customer retention, securing on-time renewals, and maximizing contract value across a high-volume portfolio of small to mid-sized customers. This role blends renewals expertise with inside sales capability—owning the full renewal cycle while also identifying opportunities to upsell and expand customer value.

The Renewals Representative partners closely with Account Managers, Customer Excellence, and internal support teams to create a smooth, customer-focused renewal experience. With strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous renewal cycles, this individual helps ensure customers continue to realize meaningful value from their Cornerstone solutions.

Key skills for this role include project management, commercial acumen, relationship-building, and the ability to influence customer outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

In this role, you will…
  • Manage and maximize renewal contracts across a defined book of Growth-segment customers.
  • Own the end-to-end renewal process—partnering directly with customers to ensure timely and accurate renewals.
  • Proactively complete all renewal readiness activities, including building quotes and partnering with customer procurement teams for a smooth contracting experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to provide visibility into renewal status, surface risks, and address potential blockers early.
  • Support inside sales outreach, calling on prospects and existing customers to identify upsell opportunities and drive incremental contract value.
  • Renew and upsell contract value for existing accounts within your assigned book of business.

You have what it takes if you have…
  • 0-3+ years of experience in renewals, inside sales, account management, customer success, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience managing renewal cycles or subscription contracts, ideally in a SaaS or recurring-revenue environment.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills—comfortable managing a high volume of customers simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM and quoting tools (Salesforce, CPQ, or similar).
  • A customer-first mindset with the ability to identify risks and drive proactive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to articulate product value and handle commercial conversations confidently.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and operational teams.

An extra dose of awesome if you have…
  • Experience in an SMB or Growth-segment book of business with high-volume renewals.
  • Background in SaaS, HR tech, learning technology, or a similar industry.
  • Exposure to inside sales outreach, prospecting, or pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, contract negotiation, or pricing discussions.
  • Ability to analyze customer usage data to inform renewal strategy or upsell opportunities.
  • Experience influencing customer outcomes without direct ownership of an account.

The starting salary for the successful applicant will depend on several job-related factors, including education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, and market demands.
