Job Summary | The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) is seeking a highly motivated Research Administrative Coord Sr/Clin (Participant Recruitment Senior Specialist) to contribute to the variety of perspectives and excellence of our department and to assist the faculty and staff of our fast-paced research center. The CCTS supports campus research professionals to ensure they are able to meet their research goals and ultimately improve the health of our communities and populations.
Since its inception in 2006, the CCTS has invested millions of dollars into research funding and trainee support at the University of Kentucky through its commitment to funding innovative, early stage translational research. The CCTS’s vision is to catalyze clinical and translational discoveries through an integrated and transformative research environment targeting improved health, with emphasis on underserved populations in Kentucky. In support of that vision, the Research Administrative Coord Sr/Clin role will collaborate with CCTS Community Engagement- and Appalachian Translational Research Network (ATRN)- faculty and staff to share information about clinical research participation opportunities in local, regional, state, and international venues as directed.
The Research Administrative Coord Sr/Clin is responsible for participant recruitment and advertisement by helping investigators and research staff to develop successful advertisement campaigns, that boost enrollment of research participants in clinical research studies. Methods include, but are not limited to: design and full creation of printed- and digital resources (e.g., flyers/brochures/short videos/digital ads), purchased media ads, UKY and external websites, UK-CCTS social media channels and UK-CCTS websites, community outreach events, and health registries (such as Wellness, Health, and You (WHY)). This employee will oversee the development, maintenance, and promotion of the Participant Recruitment self-referral database (ukclinicalresearch.com), work with UKY VPR Research Communications to promote research, participant recruitment and other services offered by the CCTS (as requested). Maintain tracking and metrics of recruitment materials in OneDrive/REDCap platforms. Creation of marketing campaigns for CCTS events (i.e. BMI, clinical research update and REDCap series, CRSO updates, CCTS Spring Conference, and Other events as needed). Collaboration with BMI, Clinical Research Update, REDCap, BERD Bites, CRSO update series, research staff and other personnel to ensure trainings and educational information are widely available to the public via the CCTS YouTube channel.
