POSITION SPECIFICS
The Research Project Manager oversees and advises on research, quality improvement, and outcomes projects evaluating engagement, reach, mastery, and the impact of ASERT (Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training) Collaborative initiatives for the Central Region (located at Penn State College of Medicine). This position will report to the Research Project Manager Supervisor who oversees projects region-wide.

Responsibilities include:
  • Project Oversight: Develop hypotheses, protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and data management/analysis plans; create project timelines; track deliverables; maintain project management tools, troubleshoot barriers; ensure projects meet quarterly and annual objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare and manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) and regulatory submissions; maintain compliance across ASERT regions; mentor staff on human-subjects research requirements; stay current on regulatory standards.
  • Data Management & Analysis: Build and maintain centralized databases; design long-term data collection methods (SPSS, Excel, REDCap, Qualtrics); ensure high-quality data collection; conduct analyses; prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate regularly with internal partners (Division of Autism Services; Psychiatry and Behavioral Health) and external partners (UPMC Western Behavioral Health, Drexel University, BSASP, ODP); serve as the primary contact for Central Region research activities; organize and lead stakeholder meeting.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior staff; support hiring processes; provide performance feedback and contribute to staff development.

SALARY & BENEFITS The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $56,200.00 - $81,500.00.
