We are seeking an experienced RFP/Adoptions Writer  to develop high-quality responses to district and state bids, proposals, and adoptions in a fast-paced environment. Specific responsibilities include creating and maintaining content, organizing resources, maintaining schedules, coordinating inputs and reviews, ensuring compliance, and working with stakeholder teams and subject matter experts to deliver a strategic, responsive, and compliant response. 

The ideal candidate  is able to see the big picture without overlooking the details, fosters a positive and responsive team environment, and can quickly adjust to dynamic proposal development schedules and requirements. This role requires exceptional communication skills, an ability to manage complex projects, keen attention to detail and quality control, and time management and prioritization skills.

Proposal Development 
  • Write, edit, and refine clear, concise, and responsive proposal content to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality submissions. 
  • Translate technical, legal, and operational inputs into customer-focused narratives
  • Ensure proposals are tailored to the client’s stated needs, evaluation criteria, and hot buttons
  • Maintain consistent voice, tone, and messaging across all proposal sections
  • Create and maintain reusable content, templates, and proposal materials in a central proposal library.
Proposal Process & Collaboration
  • Collaborate  closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts  to gather relevant information for proposal responses. 
  • Facilitate content development schedules and meet proposal deadlines
  • Incorporate win themes, differentiators, and value propositions consistently throughout proposals
Content Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Manage project timelines, coordinate team efforts, and evaluate proposals to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement. 
  • Maintain and improve reusable proposal content libraries and boilerplate materials
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to post-proposal debriefs
  • Review proposal content to ensure consistency, clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client needs. 
What we're looking for...
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy, technical writing, or proposal development
  • APMP Foundations Certification, preferred
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with APMP Best Practices
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex RFP and proposal processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with RFP software (eg. Loopio, Rfpio Responsive, etc.)
  • Experience with project management software (Smartsheet, Monday, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and an ability to manage tight deadlines.
Salary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
