About the Position
The Safety Training Program Manager will develop clear and engaging safety messaging for diverse audiences using various communication platforms, while collaborating with corporate and site safety leaders on or at site locations to design and deliver effective training in response to incidents and events. The role will manage messaging and deliver training to employees, business leaders, and key stakeholders ensuring they are aware of regulatory and corporate requirements, training obligations, safety policy, and potential hazards.
Functions
- Oversee the design, development and delivery of safety training materials, ensuring consistent messaging across training programs and in alignment with corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with corporate and site safety leaders to create safety training and communications in response to safety incidents and events.
- Develop diverse strategies to guide site safety trainers on effective modalities for delivering safety training and communication across various platforms.
- Craft clear, concise, and engaging safety messages for various audiences, including employees at different levels, new hires, and specific departments.
- Utilize various communication platforms and software to design and disseminate safety training and information.
- Create training and communication strategies and campaigns to promote initiatives that encourage employees to actively participate in safety practices and report concerns.
- Track key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of training and communication strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering field or related field with a strong focus on occupational safety.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety training development and management required.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards.
- Proven experience developing and implementing safety training and communication strategies.
- Excellent writing, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience designing and producing digital content like videos, SCORM files, etc., using software like Adobe, DaVinci, PowerDirector, Canva, or similar.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, OHST, ASP, CIT, SMS) are preferred.
- Must be able to travel to site warehouses and manufacturing locations.

Travel Requirements
- This position is expected to travel approximately 25% - 50%.
