Job Title: Sales Coordinator - Higher Education

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Coordinator to support our Higher Education sales team. In this role, you will serve as the administrative backbone of the sales department to help improve the overall sales velocity. By taking ownership of routine administrative and operational tasks, you will free up our Account Executives to focus more of their time and energy on what they do best: selling, negotiating, and building institutional partnerships with colleges and universities. 

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Administrative Support:
  • Assist in managing document workflows, playbooks, and SOPs. 
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings and events.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and other teams to maintain a high level of client service and satisfaction. 
Data & CRM Management:
  • Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce) with accurate contact information, sales activities, and pipeline data.
  • Generate regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and territory performance metrics for sales leadership to identify bottlenecks and accelerate sales velocity.
  • Track contract statuses and assist with the vendor onboarding process for new university clients to ensure a seamless handoff.
Market Research & Lead Generation:
  • Assist in gathering preliminary research on prospective higher education institutions, identifying key decision-makers (e.g., Deans, Department Chairs, Provosts).
  • Assist in lead generation campaigns and track the ROI of higher education marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of trends, funding cycles, and procurement processes within the higher education sector.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but a combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted. 
  • Experience: Proven prior experience working specifically as a Sales Coordinator is required. Minimum of 2–3 years in a sales support or coordination role. (Experience in EdTech, educational publishing, or higher education administration is a strong plus).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office/Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism for interacting with academic stakeholders.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and support a fast-paced, regional sales team.
