Sales Director – Special Programs Management (SPM) 
Location Requirements: This role is located in Texas.  
You will work remotely from your home office. 
 
Your role on the team: 
Frontline Education is seeking a strategic, results-driven Sales Director to lead a high-performing team of Education Solutions Executives (ESEs) focused on selling our Special Program Management (SPM) solutions to K-12 public school districts. This role is ideal for a sales leader with deep expertise in Medicaid services, IEPs, 504 Plans, English Learners, and RTI/MTSS frameworks as they relate to public education. Selling Special Program Management (SPM) software into K–12 public school districts requires a strong understanding of both education-specific processes and regulatory requirements, along with a consultative sales approach that builds trust with district stakeholders to influence the buying decision process. 

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience with K-12 school Medicaid programs and a track record of empowering teams and building long-term consultative relationships in the education sector. 
 
You can expect to: 
Team Leadership & Development 
  • Recruit, train, and retain top-performing Education Solutions Executives. 
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture through mentorship, coaching, and ongoing development. 
  • Conduct weekly one-on-ones, quarterly territory reviews, and bi-annual performance evaluations. 
  • Establish clear performance goals and KPIs aligned to business objectives. 
Sales Strategy & Execution 
  • Define and optimize sales processes, territory alignment, and compensation strategy. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to drive pipeline velocity and solution alignment. 
  • Act as a strategic advisor, supporting ESEs in closing high-value, complex deals with district leadership and school boards. 
  • Lead effective sales forecasting and maintain accurate pipeline reporting using Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems. 
Sales Reporting & Analysis 
  • Deliver timely, data-driven reports on team performance, forecasting, and sales outcomes to Sales and Executive Leadership. 
  • Leverage insights to drive territory planning, growth initiatives, and continuous improvement. 
Cross-Team Collaboration & Engagement 
  • Clearly communicate vision, goals, and updates across teams, while fostering alignment with company strategy. 
  • Encourage knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation within the team. 
  • Actively gather feedback from ESEs and stakeholders to continuously enhance sales processes and customer impact. 
 
What you bring to the role: 
  • Texas Residency: You reside in the State of Texas and possess deep familiarity with the unique needs and regulatory landscape of Texas public education. 
  • Sales Leadership Excellence: Proven track record of leading high-performing, quota-carrying sales teams with consistent success in exceeding revenue goals. 
  • Education Market Expertise: Strong understanding of K–12 public education systems, with direct experience in Medicaid billing for school-based services. 
  • Program Knowledge (Preferred): Working knowledge of SHARS, Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC), IEPs, 504 Plans, RTI/MTSS, Gifted & Talented, and English Learner programs—particularly as implemented in Texas schools. 
  • Medicaid Workflow Proficiency: Hands-on experience with school Medicaid claiming processes, including service logging, supervision documentation, billing, and audit preparation. 
  • Compliance & Financial Insight: Understanding of Medicaid reimbursement models and how effective program management offsets costs and mitigates compliance risk. 
  • Strategic Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, coach and mentor sales professionals, analyze performance metrics, and drive team accountability. 
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and coaching skills that inspire confidence and motivate cross-functional teams. 
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platforms to manage pipeline, forecasting, and sales activity. 
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel up to 50% to support team success, engage with clients, and attend strategic meetings as needed.
