Job Overview:

As a Salesforce Senior Development Lead, you will work with our Cambium business unit departmental subject matter experts and engineering teams to build end-to-end custom solutions as well as integrate standard solutions from Salesforce and third-party vendors. We are looking for a mentor that has deep technical experience and is looking for opportunities to grow into a hybrid leadership role that blends technical and people leadership responsibilities. Product is delivered in a fast-paced and iterative development process. Our team’s services assist the different business units of Cambium to effectively leverage Salesforce to convert leads into new customers, to improve customer retention through increased renewals, and to deliver excellent customer service by using best practices and standard tools in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver Salesforce software solutions across our business units:

  • Providing technical leadership across project management, business analysis, and system architecture while developing solutions to support and streamline business processes.
  • Oversight across all pieces of software lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, and hypercare.
  • Maintaining the business perspective in understanding and affecting how systems are implemented to satisfy user goals.
  • Developing systems that adhere to a high standard of quality where our team’s successful delivery is a direct result of our own testing diligence.
  • Keeping informed of ecosystem technical advances, and capable of proposing changes based on alternative technology.
  • Participating on multiple projects at the same time, balancing needs, and deadlines.

Assist in implementing and maintaining our Salesforce Center of Excellence across our business units:

  • Evaluate business unit paradigm shifting changes and whether there are overlapping concerns between business units where previous learnings and delivery can be utilized versus requiring custom solutioning.
  • Participate in business unit steering committees for ensuring KPI alignment, prioritizing enhancement requests, and identifying project resourcing.
  • Ensure proper change management is followed for stakeholder support, end user training, software deployment, and feature adoption.
  • Contribute to and grow our internal knowledge base of engineering and administration Salesforce ecosystem best practices.

Job Requirements:

8+ years of Salesforce development experience:

  • Amassed a deep understanding of Salesforce administration and engineering development technologies, design standards, and implementation methodologies.
  • Enterprise level development experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ.
  • Mastery of LWC and Aura Lightning App development.
  • Proficient in APEX coding and Flow configuration.
  • Skilled in Salesforce API (REST, SOAP, Bulk) integration with other systems.

5+ years of Salesforce development team management experience:

  • Adept at coaching, leading, and developing team members informally and formally. This role is designed to grow into a people leadership role over the first year.
  • Experienced in coordinating with business stakeholders for project intake, prioritization, development, and release management.
  • Skilled in architectural design oversight and monitoring team member progress for implementation efforts.

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Tableau, Einstein, Marketing Cloud, Conga.
  • ETL tools and processing.
  • RDBMS schema design and SQL.
  • RESTful Web Service development.
  • Salesforce certified.
  • PMP certification.
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
