About the Opportunity

Ellucian is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and entrepreneurial person who can contribute to the company's growth strategy in the region and lead the team to increase our clients in Colombia and Central America.

We are looking for someone who can work with Ellucian's internal team, partners, and allies to define the most effective commercial strategy. We want to be recognized as one of the leaders in education technologies that constantly innovates for higher education, thereby growing our installed base.

The candidate should have expertise in higher education that allows stimulating conversations with presidents, vice presidents, and senior leadership at higher education institutions to generate hypotheses for digital transformation applicable to the institution.

Where impact should be generated:

Being a champion of digital transformation and innovation in higher education institutions by promoting Ellucian and demonstrating Ellucian's relevance as a market leader.Improving relationships with the ecosystem of clients and partners to expand the market by gaining new clients ("logos") in each country. Understanding and defining a market plan by leveraging Ellucian's strengths and competitor weaknesses to grow over the next three years.   Identifying the best strategy for each region or country to achieve the growth objectives and executing on it.Understanding and applying Ellucian's sales methodology to keep the company continuously informed about opportunities being worked on during each stage of the sales process and to achieve set objectives.Using creativity and experience to suggest innovative ideas that increase sales and enhance the client experience.

Create a pipeline of new opportunities.Identify new potential clients in new markets.

What we expect you to bring

At least five (5) years of experience in technology sales or consultative sales.One (1) to three (3) years of experience in management or administration.Professional experience and knowledge of sales strategies and methodologies. We expect discipline and execution in sales that only years of experience in this area can provide.Empathy for connecting with people and understanding their challenges, enabling the construction of long-term relationships with them and their institutions.Curiosity and ability to seek relevant information from different sources to understand the situation of institutions and build a business case that enables informed and valuable conversations.Communication and presentation skills, both in Spanish and English, to present business cases and support ideas.

 

Location

The region covered is Central America and Colombia, based in Colombia.Travel requirements depend on market needs and are self-defined to pursue sales objectives.
