Stride is seeking an experienced accountant who is driven to make a difference and is a key contributor to our finance team, helping the company reach its goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial statement preparation and review of Stride managed schools. You must be an energetic team player who listens and values the opinions of others, and a self-starter who effectively prioritizes and works well independently. Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will be expected to quickly learn and understand processes, keep information highly organized, work efficiently, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

- Manage the month-end close process for multiple schools
- Prepare and upload journal entries
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Analyze the Balance Sheet and Income Statement for accuracy
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Audit and approve AP and expense report coding
- Assist in SOX audit work to ensure corporate compliance
- Prepare school audit schedules and support external auditors
- Support special projects and ad hoc requests
- Act as a liaison between schools, regional staff and corporate staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of accounting, auditing or financial reporting experience
- ERP experience, including journal entry upload and bank reconciliations
- Advanced experience with Excel
- Understand and demonstrate how to perform control checks in ensuring data integrity
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to clear the required background check.

- Proficient with NetSuite
- CPA

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $70,202.25 - $120,966.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
