Senior Advancement Systems & Analytics Specialist to support the division’s CRM system, reporting, and training initiatives. This role is critical during a transformative period as we transition from Advance Web to
Ellucian CRM Advance, a major system conversion that will modernize our advancement operations.
The Senior Specialist will play a key role in designing and optimizing processes, developing training and documentation, and supporting data-driven decision-making through dashboards and analytics. This position is ideal for a systems thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging technology and data to enhance fundraising and engagement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Process Design & OptimizationCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and assess business needs. Evaluate and recommend solutions (buy or build) to meet operational goals. Design and document procedures to support onboarding and ongoing training. Ensure alignment with best practices during the CRM transition.
Policies & ProceduresDevelop and maintain a centralized Policy & Procedure Manual, including a structured Table of Contents. Establish documentation standards and ensure consistency across materials. Coordinate with users across the division to create, review, and update content regularly.
Training & OnboardingIn conjunction with an Advancement Training Specialist, design and deliver training curricula for new and existing staff. Create quick guides, system orientation materials, and user-friendly documentation. Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions to support system adoption and data literacy.
Dashboard Development & AnalyticsGather reporting requirements from stakeholders across the division and respond to requests for enhancements and refinements to existing reports Support IT and the UA Data Steward in maintaining uniform data definitions across UA teams and within the enterprise data environment Support UA team in the utilization of reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights. Design and prepare presentations for leadership that leverage data-driven storytelling.

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: | Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with CRM systems (Ellucian CRM Advance preferred). Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting platforms. Experience with large-scale system conversions or CRM implementations. Familiarity with fundraising and alumni engagement operations in higher education. Ability to translate technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical users.
Hiring Range | $68,359.64 - $109,234.47
