What You'll Be Doing:

  • Champion APIs: Define, champion APIs in business and technology ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, analysts, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technology for use across multiple domains, involving RFPs, vendor evaluations, and the creation of Architecture Design Proposals.
  • Governance: Establish and maintain API governance processes, ensuring adherence to standards, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Enablement: Provide guidance and support to development teams to design, build, and consume APIs effectively, promoting API-first development practices.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and analytics to track API performance, usage, and impact, continuously optimizing API design and delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Prior experience in API design, development, and integration, with a strong understanding of RESTful principles and best practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in programming languages such as MuleSoft, Java along with experience working with API management tools like MuleSoft Gateway or AWS API Gateway or Apigee.
  • Architecture Knowledge: Understanding of microservices architecture and its application in API design, along with familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Cloud Platform Expertise: Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platform, including auto-scaling and global deployments of application architecture.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, explain API concepts, and drive API adoption.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex API design and integration issues.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset, willing to work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to the overall success of the API Center of Excellence.
