Job Summary
Support the technical portions of the Sales and Marketing process with respect to MATLAB, Simulink and related toolboxes.  Engage with customers to understand their workflows and recommend effective solutions.  Advocate for the direction of products based on customer interactions.  Contribute to continuous improvement of customers’ methodologies, best practices, tools and techniques for more effective product usage.  Maintain high customer satisfaction through proactive communication and ownership of issues.  Partner with Sales to develop and drive shared account goals/objectives aligned with the customer’s vision of success.  Identify new application areas and work with Marketing to create compelling messaging and demonstrations to attract new customers/prospects, by delivering this content at large and small events. Position requires domestic/international travel based on company/client need (approximately 30-40%).

Minimum Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Application Engineer-related occupation using MATLAB and Simulink to design and develop signal processing systems.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and no experience.

OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Application Engineer-related occupation using MATLAB and Simulink to design and develop signal processing systems.

Position requires demonstrable experience with the following:
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing and delivering technical presentations or demonstrations for engineering audiences in North and Latin America.
  • Demonstrated expertise using MATLAB and Simulink to model and analyze common design workflows in the energy, aerospace, automotive, or machinery industries and leveraging technical content using engineering language to communicate solutions verbally and in writing form to engineering audiences in North and Latin America.
  • Demonstrating expertise in designing, developing, and operating signal processing systems, communication systems, and image processing systems using MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Demonstrating expertise with lab and test equipment, including at least two of the following devices: oscilloscopes, function or signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies and multimeters, or similar.
  • Demonstrating expertise and ability to communicate technical concepts through presentations, training sessions, and collaborative engagements.
  • Demonstrating expertise in DSP, FPGA, or embedded systems.
 
Experience may be gained during graduate program.  Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
