Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Early Career team. This role is ideal for someone a few years out of undergrad (pre-MBA), with consulting, financial analyst, or data analytics experience, who is excited to work at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution.

The Senior Business Analyst will bring together disparate sets of data across business units, extract insights, and translate them into actionable opportunities. They will help design dashboards and data visualizations to track progress and communicate findings to senior leadership. A core focus will be uncovering cross-business synergies—such as co-selling opportunities, pricing strategies, and bundling approaches—that accelerate Pearson’s growth in the early career market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aggregate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple Pearson business units (e.g., certification, courseware, digital learning content) to surface actionable insights.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and data visualization tools to monitor progress and communicate performance to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Support strategic initiatives by identifying cross-sell, bundling, and pricing opportunities across customer segments.
  • Partner with product, sales, and finance teams to model business scenarios and quantify potential impact.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations and reports that clearly communicate insights, trends, and recommendations.
  • Track progress against key initiatives, ensuring accountability and transparency across the team.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support new opportunities and priority strategic questions.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, data analytics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in consulting, business analysis, financial analysis, or a related data-driven role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Experience gathering, synthesizing, and presenting complex data in clear and compelling ways.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill insights for senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a strong sense of ownership.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in the education, publishing, or learning technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Exposure to pricing strategy, market research, or customer segmentation.
  • Prior experience identifying synergies or growth opportunities across business units.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $90,000 - $95,000.
