Context of Job:

The Mission of the Office of Economic Innovation and Partnerships (OEIP) is to, (1) promote innovation and entrepreneurship within the University community and the state, (2) provide leadership in the creation and growth of small businesses in Delaware, and (3) develop social and economic value from UDâs knowledge-based assets by advancing UDâs intellectual property, inventions and technologies from the laboratory to the market place through partnerships and collaborations.

The Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a unit of OEIP. Its mission is to strengthen Delawareâs economic base by providing quality management assistance, education programs and resources to Delawareâs business community.

Under the general direction of the State Director, the business advisor/senior business advisor will provide advanced business consultative services, to pre-venture entrepreneurs, recently formed companies and established small businesses seeking to start, expand, diversify, or attract new capital investment.

(Senior Business Advisor position) - The senior business advisor uses extensive expertise to offer advanced services in specialized field to high-profile clients; and contributes advice to leadership in addressing complex problems and guide high-level strategy.
