Pearson Marketing Cloud (PMC) serves as our worldwide technology hub, facilitating customer access to learning products and services through eCommerce and Digital Marketing journey. At present, we handle over 80% of Pearson's global eCommerce revenue and cater to almost half of all Pearson web traffic, generating more than 24 million page views monthly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field required.
  • AWS Certificated Solution Architect Associate or AWS Developer Certificate is a plus
  • Experienced with Java. Familiarity with at least one additional programming language, such as Python or GO, is required
  • Understanding of distributed systems or experience in a microservices-based architecture.
  • Proficient knowledge and practical usage of AWS Cloud, with a focus on serverless technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serverless Computing: Utilizing serverless computing services, such as AWS Lambda, to build and deploy applications without managing servers.
  • API Development: Creating and managing APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for seamless integration between different services.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implementing monitoring solutions and troubleshooting issues to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, analysts, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Stay Updated: Keeping abreast of AWS updates, industry trends, and best practices to enhance development processes.
