Job description
About the Role
We're building a school program for students in grades 5–12. We're looking for a senior curriculum professional to review and elevate our existing, already-piloted curriculum, and to lead development of new curriculum tracks with outside subject-matter experts.
What You'll Do
● Review our existing, previously piloted curriculum for pedagogical soundness, consistency, and sophistication
● Identify gaps or inconsistencies and recommend improvements based on prior pilot learnings
● Lead the development of new curriculum content areas by partnering directly with outside subject-matter experts, translating their expertise into structured, age-appropriate learning content
● Define learning objectives, sequencing, and key concepts for each new content area
● Direct and quality-check the work of a curriculum writer to ensure new lesson content aligns with established learning objectives, tone, and prior pilot feedback
● Establish reusable frameworks and documentation so future content areas can be built consistently and efficiently
● Collaborate with our product and platform team to ensure curriculum integrates cleanly with the overall learning experience
What We're Looking For
● Senior-level experience in curriculum design or instructional design, ideally having scaled a program across multiple content areas
● Experience working directly with subject-matter experts to translate professional or technical knowledge into learner-friendly content
● Strong pedagogical background specific to learners in grades 5–12
● Comfort auditing and elevating existing content, not only building from scratch
● Experience directing or reviewing the work of other writers or contributors
● Excellent judgment on tone, clarity, and age-appropriateness of educational content
Nice to Have
● Experience with business, partnerships or financial literacy education for youth
● Experience in K-12 or youth education, project-based or experiential learning, or digital learning or EdTech would be valuable.
To Apply
Please share your resume along with a portfolio or writing sample of prior curriculum or instructional design work; ideally including an example where you worked with a subject-matter expert to build content, or where you reviewed and elevated an existing curriculum.
