Position Overview

The Senior Data Analyst - Reporting will serve as a cornerstone of our Advancement Data Management team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy of reporting, consistency in reporting delivery times, and overall integrity of reporting engagement data through various means. They will design and lead a comprehensive dashboard creation and maintenance program, including but not limited to conversion of existing dashboards, campaign dashboards, and data refresh schedules. Review existing queries and exports, create recommendations for Templated/canned reporting, partnering across teams to resolve issues and implement process fixes. he position will assist with projects regarding the building of a data warehouse and subsequent reporting involving Power BI or other software. This Position collaborates with University Advancement, as well as University wide partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and two years of data analysis work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Advanced mathematical and technical ability
* Advanced analytical and reasoning skills
* Advanced knowledge of statistical packages and relational database design and logic
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Access and Excel
* Proficiency in specific software and programming languages required.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
* Experience with Power BI or Tableau
* Experience with SQL and writing queries
* Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT
* Familiarity with CASE standards or peer benchmarks like EAB or VSE reporting
* Prior experience developing or managing data governance frameworks or data stewardship initiatives

Job Duties

  • 4Dashboard Creation and Maintenance * Design and lead a comprehensive dashboard creation and maintenance program, including but not limited to conversion of existing dashboards, campaign dashboards, and data refresh schedules. * Review existing queries and exports, create recommendations for templated/canned reporting, partnering across teams to resolve issues and implement process fixes.
  • Reporting & Analytics * Manage daily data request queue and assign requests accordingly. * Fulfill ad hoc and recurring data requests, prepare clean donor and giving lists, and assist with segmentation and campaign targeting.
  • Training & Documentation * Create and maintain procedural documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides to standardize data-entry practices and improvements. * Conduct training sessions for Advancement teams to promote understanding and adherence to quality standards.
  • System Implementation & Change Management * Collaborate on system enhancements and CRM configuration changes, testing new features to ensure data consistency and integrity. * Help design and enforce data governance policies, documentation, and training to support sustainable data standards.
