The Impact you Will Have:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, and reporting to the Director of Platform Engineering, you will be an important member of a technology team. You will collaborate closely with team members to build solutions and solve problems. The Senior DevOps Engineer will help the team fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as a member of the Technology team to plan and develop designs, prototypes and implement solutions for training product platform related projects
  • Leverage your experience designing, implementing, and maintaining development, testing, automation tools
  • Set up and maintain required infrastructure
  • Support development, testing, release Operations.
  • Influences team members and improve best practices
  • Solve complex problems using knowledge, passion, and curiosity
  • Troubleshoot and fix infrastructure code
  • Apply industry standard best practices for DevOps
  • Drive robust, maintainable, and scalable infrastructure within our existing business and/or product architecture and platforms
  • Develop/enhance/maintain simple, elegant, scalable infrastructure that anticipates rapid growth and iteration
  • Ensure high quality and secure infrastructure

What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps using cloud-based infrastructures
  • 8+ years of experience with the cloud infrastructure platform AWS
  • 5-8 years of experience with AWS technologies: EC2, ECS, VPC, ALB, Lambda, API Gateway, Route 53, S3, IAM, ECR, CloudFront
  • 5+ years of experience with Terraform
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS CloudFormation
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting tools like: Python, Bash, Ruby, Node
  • 5+ years of experience with CI tools like: GitHub, AWS Build/Deploy, Bamboo, Jenkins, etc...
  • 5+ years of experience with Docker
  • 5+ years of experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Sumo Logic
  • 5+ years of experience with managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, AWS RDS in a Cloud environment
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Slack, Wrike and Confluence
  • Experience with GDPR, NIST, CSF, ISO 27001/27002 preferred
  • Experience with Penetration testing
  • Understanding of Websockets
  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies
  • Experience driving technical projects, prioritizing work, identifying dependencies, facilitating technical decision and cross-functional team discussions
  • Excellent problem-solving, trouble shooting, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and enjoy sharing ideas with, and learning from, other team members
  • Must be able to attend in person events at least once a year.
