Senior Director, Product Marketing Full Description

Overview:

The Senior Director of Product Marketing owns the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and storytelling for a portfolio of products within a solution category. They lead a small team of Product Marketers, ensuring consistent messaging, effective launches, and alignment with cross-functional partners (Sales, Product, CX, Enablement). This role serves as the category-level leader, shaping the narrative, prioritizing investments, and driving measurable impact across pipeline, brand equity, and adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the category-level narrative and positioning, ensuring clear differentiation in the market.
  • Partner with Product Management to shape roadmap storytelling and prioritize launch plans.
  • Lead category-level GTM strategy and campaigns in partnership with brand, comms, and demand gen.
  • Manage and mentor Product Marketers, setting priorities and ensuring quality of deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary partner to Sales Leadership, Solution Engineering, and Value Engineering for category-level alignment.
  • Track and report on category-level KPIs tied to pipeline growth, awareness, and adoption.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in product marketing or related GTM roles, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic storytelling and executive communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams around GTM priorities.
  • Experience leading and mentoring product marketing teams

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $170,200 - $252,800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
