About the role...
We’re hiring a Senior Executive Assistant to support two C-level leaders, owning the operational details that help them spend time where it matters most and keep their busy days running smoothly. This role is based in New York City with in-office presence Monday–Thursday and light travel as needed.

- Support our Chief Product Officer and our Chief Technology Officer, primarily in the areas of: calendar management, travel management, and internal event planning and culture building
- Manage a program that provides as-needed administrative support to senior leaders below VP level via a contractor model
- Contribute to the health and evolution of the Executive Operations team
:check: You have...
- 10+ years as an executive assistant or similar, with a significant portion of time at a fast-paced, tech-centric company at a similar or later growth stage than Duolingo
- A track record of utmost judgment and anticipating and solving problems proactively
- Outstanding attention to detail, especially with calendars, travel, events, and written communication
- Tech-savviness and are experimenting frequently with AI and automation with increasing success
- Ability to build trust and get things done together with a variety of personalities and roles
- Resilience to navigate constant change, both on calendars and in the organization
- Experience planning multiple complex events in a leadership role
- Experience supporting teams across multiple global time zones and frequent travel
- Ability to work in the office M-Th
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, usually between Pittsburgh and NYC
- Comfort reporting into Duolingo’s People function as an Executive Operations team member
:star: Exceptional candidates will have...
- Experience supporting product, technology, and/or engineering executives
- Proficiency with G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Mac, and generative AI in an EA context
- Experience managing others or leading administrative programs
We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.
This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. Your recruiter can share more details about the range for a specific level during the hiring process. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.
Salary Range:
$130,900—$177,100 USD
