Position Summary

Bridge is seeking a seasoned Senior Frontend Software Engineer to take ownership of modernizing and maintaining its legacy application while planning and driving strategic feature development. This hands-on senior role owns frontend work on Bridge's core product, a large, mission-critical application built up over many years, collaborating on project architecture, overseeing microfrontend frameworks, and leading cross-functional team initiatives.

Responsibilities

Own frontend work on Bridge's core product, shipping new features, fixing tricky bugs, and modernizing legacy code
Work closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to get features over the line
Build with React 19 and strict TypeScript across a microfrontend architecture with 20+ apps in production
Maintain and extend a well-made, shared component library using TanStack Query and React Context for data and state
Treat testing as a default using Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, MSW, and Storybook-driven development
Build accessibility as a first-class requirement, with semantic HTML and full keyboard and screen-reader support meeting WCAG standards
Externalize UI text for internationalization and build every screen locale-aware
Track real-user frontend performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals, treating regressions as defects
Integrate with a Ruby on Rails monolith and Java/Kotlin Spring Boot services with working familiarity, not ownership

Minimum Qualifications
