About The Role
The Senior Growth Product Manager plays a leading role in shaping the strategic direction of Watermark's product growth initiatives, determining which bets to pursue, which pivot or preserve, and how the product growth team's efforts connect to broader portfolio and business strategy. They personally take on the most complex or ambiguous opportunities and serve as a bridge between the growth team and the core product management team. They partner closely with product growth leadership to build the growth discipline, define the investment thesis for new AI-powered product lines, and ensure the growth team operates with speed, rigor, and commercial focus. As the growth team evolves, they also guide the expansion into traditional growth motions across existing products.
Key Responsibilities
⢠Shape and maintain the product growth teamâs initiatives, balancing big bets on new AI-powered product concepts with targeted growth work across existing products; make deliberate investment and prioritization decisions
⢠Personally lead the most complex, ambiguous, or strategically significant growth initiatives from concept through early commercialization
⢠Define the growth team's approach to experimentation, validation, and scaling, establishing frameworks and standards that enable speed without sacrificing rigor
⢠Develop the investment thesis for new product concepts in partnership with growth leadership, grounding recommendations in market analysis, customer insight, AI capability trends, and commercial opportunity
⢠Set the bar for how AI is applied within the product growth team's work, both as a core capability embedded in new products and as a tool the team uses to accelerate every phase of concept development
⢠Own the relationship between the growth team and core product management, ensuring validated concepts are handed off cleanly and integrated effectively into existing product lines
⢠Track and report on growth portfolio performance, including pipeline health, concept velocity, early revenue metrics, and overall contribution to new ARR; use data to continuously refine the portfolio
⢠Collaborate with go-to-market, sales, and client success leaders to ensure growth initiatives are positioned for commercial traction from the earliest stages
⢠Mentor growth product managers, providing coaching on product craft, AI fluency, experimentation rigor, and stakeholder management
⢠Represent the growth team's perspective in cross-functional and leadership forums, building organizational understanding of and support for growth investments
Required Skills and Experience
⢠6+ years in product management with progressive expansion of responsibility, including meaningful experience in 0-to-1 product development, growth, or new ventures (EdTech or SaaS experience a plus)
⢠Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
⢠Deep fluency with the AI/ML landscape, emerging capabilities, and practical product applications; demonstrated experience leading AI-powered product initiatives
⢠Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high-uncertainty initiatives, making sound investment and prioritization decisions with incomplete information
⢠Strong track record of taking new product concepts from idea to revenue
⢠Technical literacy sufficient to evaluate AI integration approaches, challenge technical assumptions, and engage in substantive technical dialogue
⢠Experience building or scaling a growth function, including establishing frameworks, processes, and team norms
⢠Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to define, track, and act on early-stage and commercial metrics

Watermark is committed to fair and equitable pay practices for all qualified candidates. The pay range for this role is $130K to $140K with significant consideration given to the level of experience related to the required skills of the role followed by education/ licensure/certificates, geographical location of the individual filling the role and other business and operational considerations.
