Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Instructional Designer – L&OD is responsible for designing and developing engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences that align with organizational goals and support employee development at all levels. This role partners closely with L&OD, HR Business Partners, business leaders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess needs and deliver learning solutions that drive performance, culture, and leadership capability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop high-impact learning programs using instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
- Create blended learning solutions (e-learning, virtual instructor-led training, in-person, microlearning, job aids, etc.)
- Develop engaging content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, and LMS platforms.
- Conduct learning needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend solutions.
- Define learning objectives and success metrics aligned with organizational goals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions using Kirkpatrick’s Model or other methodologies.
- Partner with L&OD leadership to support talent development initiatives such as leadership development, onboarding, DEI training, performance management, and change management.
- Facilitate workshops and learning sessions when needed.
- Work with SMEs to gather and validate content, ensuring instructional accuracy and relevance.
- Lead multiple design projects simultaneously, managing timelines, deliverables, and resources.
- Ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, or related field
- 5–8+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a corporate L&OD or HR environment.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and evaluation models.
- Experience designing both digital and instructor-led learning for professional and leadership audiences.
- Strong proficiency in eLearning tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and LMS platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone, etc.).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
- Regular Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
- Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
- Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- Proficient literacy
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms

Salary: $105,000-$115,000 based on experience
