Position:
Senior Instructional Systems Designer (Cleared)

Location:
Telecommuting/Virtual. Occasional travel required.

Job Description:
Full-time professional with an active DoD clearance to serve as a senior-level developer of training materials (instructor-led and interactive self-paced) for the federal workforce, IAW military and government standards.  Leads a curriculum development team to ensure superior ISD quality and technical accuracy of all training materials and multimedia, including trainee guides, instructor guides, PowerPoint Presentations, simulations, animations, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with training design using ISD principles and standards.
  • Superior ability to read, understand, and translate complex technical data into training content.
  • Demonstrated experience with COTS instructional design software/best practices.
  • Ability to research, learn, and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, professional accountability, reliability, and commitment to excellence.

Understanding of or experience with NTSP development.
A good understanding of NAVEDTRA and other military training doctrine.Knowledge of or prior experience with CPM/LOM.
Knowledge of standard formal electrical and mechanical troubleshooting procedures and practices.

Clearance:
An active Secret (or above) clearance is required.

Education Req:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, English, Business, or Engineering, and 7-10 years of training development experience in a military or civilian setting.
