The Senior Learning Design Professional uses instructional design, cognitive psychology and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap. The Senior Learning Design Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Learning Design Professional analyzes content, organizes content, designs and develops solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning, and manuals.
- Analyzes learning needs and partners with subject matter experts to gather input for course content.
- Writes effective learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments to measure training effectiveness.
- Ensures course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
- Tracks and analyzes the training programs’ effectiveness by examining learners’ satisfaction levels, proficiency testing, and job performance improvement.
- Regularly uses new technology and concepts.
- Provides instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
- Knows how to use social media and collaborative tools to facilitate learning.
- Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum, materials, job performance aids, and programs to meet specific training needs.
- Uses consultative skills to complete projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant.
- Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 or more years of design and development experience
- Experience with one or more of the following learning software: Storyline, Camtasia, Articulate 360 and/or Vyond
- Prior experience leading projects, consulting with the customer, determining the appropriate learning intervention, determining appropriate delivery methodology.
- Experience evaluating effectiveness of the learning content
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration; Learning and Performance; Education; Human Resources, Organizational Design or Related field.
- Experience with Epic system and Tapestry environment
- Work experience in a health care and/or Insurance setting

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$71,100 - $97,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
