About You
Chess.com is seeking a data-driven and strategic Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead initiatives that engage, retain, and grow our 200M+ global user base across the player lifecycle. You’ll own the strategy and execution of campaigns across email, push, and in-app messaging, using tools like Iterable to build highly personalized, automated journeys at scale. You’ll work closely with product, data, design, and engineering to drive meaningful business impact. You’ll blend data with creativity, bringing our brand voice to life moments that convert and genuinely delight our members. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on translating behavioral insights into high-impact lifecycle programs.

What You'll Do
  • Own full-funnel lifecycle marketing strategies from onboarding to reactivation
  • Use Iterable to build, and optimize automated messaging journeys across key channels (email, push, in-app)
  • Champion an experimentation-first mindset, continuously running A/B and multivariate tests to improve campaign performance
  • Partner with analytics to develop cohort segmentation, define success metrics, and interpret campaign results (using tools like Superset, Looker or Amplitude)
  • Collaborate with Product teams to support launches, product-led initiatives, and monetization campaigns
  • Drive strategic roadmap planning, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment
  • Mentor junior marketers and contribute to evolving lifecycle marketing best practices

Preferred Skills
  • 5 to 6+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, ideally in mobile or consumer products
  • Proven track record of using experimentation and testing frameworks to drive channel performance
  • Strong experimentation and analytical thinking; comfortable using Superset, Looker, or SQL for insights
  • Hands-on experience with Iterable or similar cross-channel engagement platforms
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility
