Team Lead (Libby Brand)

Description
This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH Area
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH

The Team Lead (Libby Brand) is responsible for supporting Libby’s brand initiatives and messaging across a range of digital and print outlets. This role is creative, analytical, and results-oriented. The Team Lead conjures and champions great ideas and is a force for critical thinking. This person is responsible for telling the brand story and has the confidence to challenge conventional thinking. This role is responsible for reporting the defined KPIs and success metrics.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures team is aligning work with business priorities.
  • Serve as a sounding board and escalation point for complex issues and questions.
  • Proactive in identifying and clearing roadblocks for the team.
  • Provide input to manager on hiring, performance, and other personnel decisions.
  • Works with Manager to evaluate individual performance and delivers regular performance reviews.
  • Recommend professional development and provide job coaching to evolve a high-functioning team.
  • Approve schedule and timecards.
  • Contribute input on goal setting and prioritization for the team.
  • Create and update documentation for business processes, delegate as needed.
  • Build and maintain cross-team partnerships.
  • Look to culture and consumer behavior to craft campaigns that power our growth goals and generate positive affinity with audience targets.
  • Grow and diversify the Libby audience.
  • Identify and refine target audience(s), regularly monitoring relevance of that target and identifying strategies and tactics to engage and connect our brands to our consumer
  • Use creative storytelling and presentation to bring to life our brand strategies, insights, and target audience
  • Ideate and identify the unexpected applications of brand that touch consumers and culture – partnerships, collaborations, brand activations
  • Champion and wield brand thinking across campaigns, concepts, and the organization; ensure everything we do is authentic and represents the best interests of the communities we serve
  • Consistently assess competitive strategies and uncover white space opportunities
  • Work closely with domestic and international teams to ensure alignment with the overall global strategy; define and communicate modifications based on local market needs
  • Regularly conducts one on one meetings with team members. Ensures the work of the individual team members is reviewed and that team members receive feedback on their work.
  • Responsible for the quality of design that team members are producing for OverDrive.
  • In collaboration with management, work directly with stakeholders to set expectations for project scope and timelines and proactively communicate when expectations need to be adjusted.
  • In addition to creating strong brand-focused copy, serve as a brand expert and provide insight to teammates and cross-functional partners on messaging and make recommendations on the specifics of that message, the channel, and the strategic timing of various marketing efforts to coincide with a campaign.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Content leadership and CMO to develop brand communications strategy and priorities.
  • Develop and report on KPIs relative to measure the effectiveness of Brand initiatives.
  • Develop internal processes to improve efficiencies and results.
  • Proactively update the Content on news and trends in the market (internally and externally)/marketing and the potential impact on the team’s work.
  • Act as administrator and/or coach and editor for brand materials, social media, content creation and public relations platforms and software.
  • As a member of the leadership team, demonstrate through decisions, actions and words a commitment to OverDrive’s mission, our sustainability and community outreach initiatives. 

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in social media and communications strategy, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful campaigns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Tolerance for ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and explain complex concepts in a simple way.
  • Skilled in leadership, coaching, and collaboration.
  • Skilled in clearly identifying and addressing customer needs (internal and external).
  • Seeks opportunities to develop professional skills.
  • Keen understanding of what matters most to our customers to drive solutions to boost customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience with emerging trends and best practices in content marketing.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a sense of collaboration and team spirit.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in social analytics, with a deep understanding of KPIs, tracking, and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate complex ideas and strategies.
