This role includes managing a team of two direct reports and building the systems, playbooks, and processes needed to scale.
What you’ll do
Own event strategy and pipeline impact
- Develop and lead Panorama’s events strategy across a high volume of event types, ensuring strong alignment to pipeline and revenue goals.
- Define event objectives, target audiences, success metrics, and go-to-market plans for each event to drive effective pipeline creation.
- Build a scalable operating model to manage multiple concurrent events without compromising quality or results.
Deliver best-in-class event experiences
- Own the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including vendor management, logistics, speaker management, attendee communications, and onsite/virtual delivery.
- Optimize the event experience at every touchpoint to create a positive and consistent brand experience.
- Ensure lead capture and audience engagement strategies are embedded into the event design and execution.
Budget prioritization and performance optimization
- Own and manage the events budget, making strategic trade-offs based on expected impact and pipeline opportunity.
- Track performance and ROI across events, using learnings to continuously improve outcomes and scale what works.
- Create post-event reporting with actionable insights and recommendations to improve future programming.
Cross-functional partnership and execution excellence
- Partner closely with Sales and Client Partnerships to align event goals, staffing plans, outreach strategies, and follow-up motions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across marketing, content, product marketing, and leadership to ensure strong messaging, positioning, and campaign alignment.
- Drive operational rigor including timelines, resourcing plans, event calendars, and communication workflows.
People management and team leadership
- Manage, mentor, and support a team of two direct reports, ensuring priorities, development goals, and performance expectations are clear and consistently met.
- Establish event playbooks, templates, and processes to improve team efficiency and execution quality.
- Create a culture of high accountability, excellent stakeholder management, and strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in B2B tech events management, including ownership of a high-volume event portfolio.
- 3+ years of people management experience, with a track record of coaching and developing team members.
- Proven ability to build and execute event strategies that drive pipeline creation and measurable revenue impact.
- Strong experience managing budgets, prioritizing investments, and assessing performance/ROI.
- Demonstrated success partnering with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver cohesive event programs and follow-up strategies.
- Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to represent the brand confidently with external audiences.
- Experience in edtech is strongly preferred (or strong interest and ability to ramp quickly in the space).
Bonus points
- Experience running event programs across both in-person and virtual formats at scale.
- Familiarity with event tech platforms and lead management workflows (e.g., badge scans, registration tools, CRM/MAP integration).
