The Learning Design & Program Management team partners with the business to create scalable, high‑impact learning experiences that build critical capabilities for global retail audiences. The team leads the end‑to‑end learning lifecycle from strategy and design through delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement ensuring learning is engaging, accessible, and aligned to enterprise priorities. Program Management enables strong planning, prioritization, and execution across initiatives, ensuring work is delivered with clarity, quality, and impact. Together, the team plays a key role in supporting performance, growth, and consistent learning experiences across regions.
 
core responsibilities

Learning Strategy & Capability Building
Lead the enterprise learning design strategy to build the skills and capabilities required for global retail store employees to deliver on business priorities while enabling meaningful career development.
Global Learning Model & Delivery
Define and lead the global learning model, including internal learning design and external partnerships, ensuring learning is delivered through the most effective and consumable modalities—such as in-person, virtual, e-learning, and blended experiences.
Measurement, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Establish and lead measurement, evaluation, and monitoring efforts to assess training effectiveness, drive data‑informed improvements, and clearly demonstrate business impact.
People Leadership & Capability Development
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a global learning organization, including internal team members, consultants, and partners, ensuring high performance, strong collaboration, and consistent learning design standards.
Curriculum & Learning Experience Design
Lead the design of engaging, learner‑centered curricula and experiences that drive retention, knowledge transfer, and sustained skill development across global retail audiences.
Learning Strategy & Organizational Enablement
Define how the Learning Design team supports the business by partnering with subject matter experts, setting clear instructional outcomes, and aligning learning goals to enterprise KPIs to measure success and impact.
Content, Platforms & Learner Experience
Oversee the creation of high‑quality learning content and intuitive platforms that enhance accessibility, usability, and the overall learner experience across all modalities.
Assessment & Effectiveness Measurement
Establish and oversee assessment strategies—including tests, simulations, and performance‑based measures—to evaluate learning effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
Research, Standards & Thought Leadership
Stay current on industry standards, methodologies, and emerging practices, applying instructional research and thought leadership to continuously elevate learning design quality and impact.
 
qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience leading learning teams or equivalent roles within a global retail or frontline training environment.
  • In‑depth knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and learning experience design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams of learning professionals to create high‑quality learning assets, including instructional copy, audio and video scripts, and other learning design elements.
  • Experience ensuring consistent learning design standards and quality across teams, partners, and delivery modalities.

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from  $134,100-$176,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
