The Senior Manager, Research and Health Technology Services (RHTS) supports the university’s core research mission by overseeing and managing the successful operations of several teams of IT experts that focus on providing technology services and support for research and clinical systems in the health and life sciences. These teams also provide personalized engagement and consultation for faculty, staff, and graduate students working in research and clinical operations on campus and in multiple locations throughout the state.
The role of Senior Manager, RHTS is crucial for ensuring that the technology needs of the research community and health-related operations are met efficiently and effectively. They do this by providing leadership and guidance to their teams in the execution of processes, projects, and tactics, ensuring service excellence, and serving as a technology advisor, advocate, and escalation point for faculty and department leadership to align IT services with the university's research goals. This position will lead a team that provides direct support for faculty performing cutting edge research focused on many of society's greatest challenges in human health and wellbeing.
What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of four (4) years of total experience working with or supporting research, clinical systems, or other specialized equipment, preferably in a higher education setting
- with at least two (2) years of experience as a supervisor or team lead in that total
- experience with IT service management
- knowledge of security and privacy protocols
