 Description:
The Senior Manager, Epic Revenue Cycle Training & Instructional Design provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Emory Healthcare's Revenue Cycle training program. This role sets direction for curriculum, instructional strategy, and Epic training environment maintenance to drive consistent workflow adoption across Revenue Cycle domains. The Senior Manager leads Instructional Designers and Credentialed Trainers, manages training schedules and resource planning, partners closely with Revenue Cycle Operations and Emory Digital, and drives upgrade readiness, environment accuracy, and continuous improvement.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Program Leadership & Strategy:
  • Lead strategic planning for RC education programs, curriculum strategy, training modalities, and environment approach.
  • Establish and maintain training governance for standardization of format, tone, and workflow accuracy.
  • Champion innovation in training delivery (blended learning, e-learning, simulation, performance support tools).
Team Leadership & Performance Management: 
  • Lead and develop Instructional Designers and Credentialed Trainers through coaching, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and trainer performance; drive continuous improvement.
Training Operations & Resource Planning: 
  • Establish training schedule cadence and resource planning for onboarding, refresher, optimization, and upgrade training.
  • Ensure training materials are accurate, standardized, current, and consistently delivered.
Training Environment & Upgrade Readiness:
  • Oversee Epic training environment build, maintenance, and accuracy.
  • Partner with Emory Digital to resolve build/environment issues and ensure timely updates.
  • Lead bi-annual upgrade review to determine training priorities and content needs with operations and Emory Digital. Analytics,
Quality & Escalation Support: 
  • Partner with QA and operations to analyze performance metrics and identify training/remediation needs.
  • Support troubleshooting and escalation management for workflow and training-related barriers.
  • Additional Duties as Assigned.
  • Travel: Minimal Work Type: Hybrid.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree. Experience: 3-5 years in training, instructional design, QA, or Epic application support; leadership experience (formal or informal); Epic RC workflow experience across Access/HB/PB/HIM/Coding.
  • Certification - Epic certification (Revenue Cycle applications). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (required):

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing enterprise training strategy and scalable onboarding models across multiple Revenue Cycle domains.
  • Strong capability with dashboards/metrics for training performance, readiness tracking, and continuous improvement reporting.
  • Experience partnering with QA/operational analytics to target competency gaps and implement remediation strategies.
  • Familiarity with change management methods for workflow adoption and major system initiatives.
