The Senior Manager, School Operations is responsible for across the board operational support to managed schools within the virtual school program in order to contribute to the overall goal of providing excellent service to schools and their clients. Each senior manager is responsible for leading specific operational areas based on the breadth and level of support needed for the suite of tools, school operations functions and reporting. Senior Managers take responsibility for organizing large, often cross-functional initiatives to successful completion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Provides operational support to the managed virtual school programs;
  • Provides training and troubleshooting on systems used for operational management of schools;
  • Assists in continued operations process improvements;
  • Ensures reports and data requests within the individuals assigned areas are resolved in a timely manner
  • Participates in responsibilities related to school and corporate compliancy requirements.
  • Assists in operational data analysis and report compilation
  • Helps create, maintain and disseminate operational information;
  • Leads areas of responsibility on behalf of the school services operations team
  • Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders as needed to ensure areas of responsibility are successful.
  • Manages team members required to support areas of responsibility.
  • Manages large, cross functional teams to move areas of responsibility forward successfully.
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to provide operational support that contributes to providing excellent service to the schools and their clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 5-10 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   
  • Bachelor’s Degree(s) AND
  • 5 years virtual school operations experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Microsoft Office; Web proficiency
  • Excel and/or database experience
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Team management experience
