We're seeking a passionate Senior Product Designer who thrives at the intersection of discovery and design, and curious to explore the relationship between technology and education. This role will initially focus on two key areas: user research and design on our Flagship product Reach CMS (including Raise and Encompass).
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Playing a critical role in understanding our customers' motivations, goals, needs, behaviors, pain points and expectations to inform design and product decisions
- Advocating for the user throughout the product lifecycle, engaging with customers through research and feedback sessions, site visits, usability testing, focus groups and user conferences to inspire ideas and inform design decisions
- Triangulating data from research and other sources (such as data analytics and sales) to glean insights and actionable recommendations for our product teams
- Combining quant/qual research insights, rapid iteration, and testing to craft data informed, user centered solutions
- Prototyping, testing, and iterating. Jumping between ‘discovery’ mode (prototyping ideas and seeking feedback) and ‘delivery’ mode (nailing the flow, interactions, and accessibility)
- Addressing short-term design needs and delivering value to users incrementally, while making strides towards long term vision
- Working collaboratively within product teams as a peer with product managers, developers and data scientists to bring your ideas to life, and contribute to the strategic product vision
- Being autonomous. Taking full ownership of your work and responsibility for every detail, every step of the way, from whiteboard sketching to high-fidelity designs, to what is finally shipped
- Taking an active role in our design community, sharing ideas, upskilling in how to best use AI and contributing to our lunch and learns
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as a user researcher/product designer on both web and mobile products
- Experience running research such as usability testing
- Demonstratable experience in UX design and interaction design
- Excel at designing simple, inclusive, elegant products, which consider all screen sizes from mobile, through to desktop
- Strong portfolio showcasing solid user centered design practice and user research
- Team player and exceptional communicator who simplifies complexity, tells compelling stories, and can get buy in for critical design decisions
- Knowledge of inclusive design and accessibility
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Service design experience, designing across systems and touchpoints
- Understanding of UK and European Higher Ed markets
- Experience designing and working with AI and machine learning
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with remote, globally distributed teams, maintaining strong relationships across teams with diverse cultures and work styles

While the full salary range for this role is (105,000 - 157,800), the expected hiring range for this opening is ($105,000 –$131,000), depending on experience and budget availability.
