Senior Product Designers at Frontline Education are outcome-driven design leaders within empowered product teams. They co-own outcomes with Product Management and Engineering, connecting discovery, design, and delivery to measurable customer and business impact.

In this role, you’ll lead discovery efforts, uncover and validate customer problems, and translate insights into strategic opportunities. You’ll apply design thinking, research, and prototyping to shape intuitive, scalable solutions that improve how K–12 educators and administrators work every day.

You’ll be an integral part of an empowered product triad, balancing desirability, feasibility, and viability to ensure that what we build truly solves the right problems in the right way.
How You’ll Drive Success
Discovery & Alignment
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify, validate, and prioritize customer problems before building solutions.

  • Translate insights into strategic opportunities that inform product direction.
  • Apply storytelling and systems thinking to connect discovery to delivery in meaningful, actionable ways.
Design Leadership & Execution
  • Design elegant, accessible, and scalable solutions using wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Prototype to learn — validating hypotheses through iteration and feedback.
  • Balance desirability, feasibility, and viability to ensure solutions meet both customer and business needs.
  • Apply design systems thinking to ensure consistency and scalability across products using Frontline’s design system.
  • Incorporate AI-assisted design methods (human-in-the-loop systems, adaptive interfaces, intelligent automation) to create next-generation experiences.
Collaboration & Influence
  • Operate as a key member of an empowered product triad, co-owning outcomes alongside Product Management and Engineering.
  • Facilitate workshops, co-creation sessions, and strategic reviews that foster alignment and shared understanding.
  • Communicate design intent and rationale clearly through storytelling, documentation, and prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are technically feasible and well executed in production.
  • Champion accessibility, inclusion, and ethical design to ensure all educators and administrators can benefit from Frontline products.
Impact & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and measure success by linking design outcomes to customer and business metrics.
  • Use data, experimentation, and feedback to assess impact and inform iteration.
  • Mentor peers and junior designers in discovery, systems thinking, and AI-driven design practices.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Frontline’s design culture, systems, and processes, helping improve velocity and quality across teams.

What You Bring to Help Us Grow
  • You drive clarity and alignment across triads, turning complex problems into actionable direction.
  • You design for outcomes, not just interfaces.
  • You use AI and data thoughtfully to design for human-centered automation.
  • You inspire confidence across Product and Engineering through insight, craft, and collaboration.

What You'll Need to Thrive
  • 5 years of experience
  • Proven ability to lead discoveries and deliver designs that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Strong interaction, visual, and systems design skills.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other modern design tools.
  • Experience conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing.
  • Ability to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
  • Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and design system best practices.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI-first design — integrating automation, adaptive intelligence, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • A growth mindset and genuine passion for education, innovation, and improving the daily lives of educators.
