Senior Product Marketing Engineer - Simulink


Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic individual to market Simulink to both new and existing markets. Simulink is the platform for Model-Based Design that enables engineers to intuitively model, simulate, implement, and test complex systems for controls, signal processing, and communications applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for technical product marketing of Simulink capabilities for large-scale modeling and simulation. This is your opportunity to use your experience of Model-Based Design within a team environment for production development. You will be providing direction and guidance to a worldwide sales team and working closely with development teams to help define product direction.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with key customers and thought leaders to identify and define new product requirements
  • Work closely with the engineering staff on the development of new products and features
  • Partner with sales teams in support of sales opportunities and major programs for your product area
  • Identify new market opportunities for existing products and proactively develop programs to pursue these
  • Plan and manage focused competitive analysis for your product area and develop positioning and response
  • Produce technical papers, demos, articles, and user stories in support of the product area

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Understanding of Model-Based Design and/or software design, analysis, testing, and dynamic system simulation
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink or equivalent software
  • Experience using modeling tools for embedded software development and verification
  • Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries
  • Customer interaction skills
  • Solid quantitative ability and strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills
  • Candidate should expect to travel about 5% of the time
