Department Summary
The Institute for Health Disparities (IHD) conducts research, training and community outreach in the areas of minority health, health disparities and workforce variety. Constituting the IHD are the Texas Center for Health Disparities, National Research Mentoring Network, Texas CEAL Consortium, Alternative Training Programs, AIM-AHEAD and the NIMHD Endowment.

Position Overview
This person will be responsible for assisting the Hub Leads and Multiple Principal Investigators at the regional hubs within the HRSA Leadership/Administration Core.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for different audiences.Writing and editing skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Internet research and navigation.Ability to handle data entry and database management from multiple projects simultaneously.Action oriented to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to function as a member of the team to fulfill the teams responsibilities.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Experience in website content development, communications, and special events management.

Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS required in science, public health, social science or mathematics, STEM, education, or related field.Experience with evaluation of research, quantitative and qualitative data, and/or capacity building projects.Knowledge of Training and Technical AssistanceExperience creating training and education materials, including print, digital, and multimedia resourcesUtilizing design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) to develop infographics and presentations,Proficiency with a wide range of PC and Mac software applications including MS Access, webpages, spreadsheets, databases, word processing.Academic project management experience.Ability to plan, lead and manage projects within deadlines.Excellent administrative and time management skills, including attention to detail, ability to problem solve.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary settings, as part of a team or independently.Outstanding oral and written communication skills.Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with External and Internal Program staff and administration, faculty, staff and students across the campus and at other institutions.

Job Duties
Directing, organizing, and contributing to project activities under the direction of the HRSA Coordinating Center Evaluation Team.Interact with staff, faculty, students, and outside professions with essential job functions.Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HRSA Coordinating Center evaluation plan.Coordination of partners and subawards to implement evaluation activities. Oversight and coordination of provision of services. Development of HRSA evaluation instruments and materials in collaboration and coordination with the HRSA team members at regional hubs and functional cores.Support Evaluation Teams in meeting project deliverables; collaborate with partners and subawardees to meet evaluation milestones.Assist PI and MPIs in insuring evaluation measures are recorded and met. Collect, tabulate, and interpret project data as required. Responsible for execution of project evaluation including ensuring attainment of outcomes, project goals, and activities.Arrange and facilitating meetings for the Evaluation Team.Provides administrative support to the Evaluation Team and Lead PI.Other duties as assigned.
