Ellucian is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Delivery Excellence (PMO) to elevate the quality, consistency, and governance of project delivery across our SaaS implementation portfolio. This role drives operational excellence by facilitating quality reviews, defining and documenting repeatable processes, and ensuring delivery teams have the structure, standards, and tools needed for success.
The ideal candidate combines strong facilitation and communication skills with expert-level process documentation and deliverable management capabilities. They thrive on building clarity from complexity, ensuring projects align to Ellucian's delivery standards, and enabling continuous improvement across all phases of delivery. Experience with delivery tooling such as Smartsheet is a plus and will support success in this role.
Where You Will Make an Impact
Lead the Project Quality Review (PQR) Program, facilitating structured reviews across portfolios to assess delivery quality, surface risks, and drive actionable improvement plans.Facilitate alignment sessions with Project Managers, Program Directors, and Delivery Leadership to address delivery themes, governance gaps, and adherence to standards.Ensure delivery governance through oversight of project plans, milestones, and templates, reinforcing consistent documentation and project control practices.Develop and maintain delivery assets including playbooks, process maps, phase gate criteria, and deliverable templates that standardize execution across the portfolio.Champion deliverable quality and readiness, ensuring required artifacts meet defined standards prior to phase transitions and go-live events.Drive continuous improvement by analyzing PQR outcomes, portfolio trends, and lessons learned to refine delivery processes, methodologies, and tooling.Enable Delivery Excellence adoption by coaching and training Project Managers on delivery standards, documentation best practices, and governance expectations.Collaborate cross-functionally with Delivery Leadership, Product, Customer Success, and other partners to streamline upstream (Sales-to-Delivery) and downstream (Go-Live and Optimization) workflows.Produce executive-ready reports and summaries highlighting delivery performance, quality trends, and actionable insights for leadership decision-making.Act as a change agent to strengthen governance, reinforce accountability, and embed a culture of quality and consistency across the delivery organization.What You Will Bring
Proven experience in project governance, PMO operations, or delivery excellence within SaaS or professional services environments.Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead structured discussions among Project Managers, delivery leaders, and executive stakeholders.Advanced process and deliverable documentation expertise, including the development of standards, templates, playbooks, and operating models.Solid understanding of core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, risk, resourcing, and change control in SaaS delivery contexts.Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement, quality, or methodology refinement initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.Strong analytical mindset with high attention to quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency.Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management and reporting tools is a plus.PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification preferred.#LI-MH1
