Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Playwright Automation) to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions that ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. This role focuses on building scalable UI and API test automation, leveraging of AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent automation to improve test coverage, reduce maintenance effort, and accelerate high-quality releases

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites utilizing AI technologies using Playwright for web frontend and backend testing

Apply best practices in test automation, including:

  • Page Object Model (POM) or Screenplay patterns

  • Test data management strategies

  • Parallel execution and test isolation

  • Stable selectors and resilient locators

Leverage AI-powered testing tools to generate, optimize, and maintain test cases and test data

Research new AI tools and practices

Maintain Test data, Test Environments, and automation infrastructure

Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and tools to enhance test effectiveness and efficiency

Manage the process around continuous execution

Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing

Perform targeted manual testing when needed and for story verification, exploratory testing, and edge‑case validation

Collaborate with the engineering team on multiple projects to understand requirements and provide early feedback on Design and Implementation

Create automated API tests and contract checks

Create detailed, comprehensive test plans and cases for Functional, Smoke, Integration and Regression testing

Manage the release quality and produce release metrics

Manage the defect process

Analyze test and production data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

Quality Systems & Compliance

Review design plans, process procedures, and quality manuals

Maintain quality records and compliance documentation

Analyze data to identify trends and prevent defects

Implement process changes to improve quality

Recommend and implement corrective actions

Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies for problem-solving, and follow through on Corrective And Preventative Actions (CAPAs)

Collaboration & Agile Practices

Work closely with development, product, and content teams, and act as a champion of quality

Participate in Agile ceremonies

Promote agile principles: adaptability, transparency, iterative development

Preferred Technical Skills

AI Tools: GitHub Copilot within VSCode, AI agents, MCP server

Advanced Automation Tools: Playwright (Preferred), Cypress, Selenium or similar

Advanced Programming/Scripting: JavaScript/ TypeScript, Java, Python,

Advanced Development/pipeline tools: VSCode, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Testfully or Postman

Advanced Databases: MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB

Advanced understanding of CI/CD Pipelines using GitHub Action and DevOps practices

Soft Skills
