Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Full Description

As the Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer for a new direct-to-consumer initiative at Bezos Academy, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of a technology solution providing educational products for children and families. You are a hands-on, results-driven QA expert who will play a critical role in establishing the quality standard of our e-commerce technology stack with a small team of founders. Your work will combine digital experiences for families with analog activities for children. With a passion for software quality and a mission-driven mindset, you will expand access to early childhood development programs for families of all kinds.

You have a track record of building software test strategies and test plans for technology solutions that solve human problems. Despite constraints on time and resources, you are able to develop and execute test cases manually, and with a plan towards improving test efficiency. You have successfully launched a high-quality B2C web application in collaboration with a product development team. Known for your customer-first mindset, you take pride in identifying bugs early in the development cycle, so they never reach the end user. Starting from scratch does not faze you; you are comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating toward better outcomes. You have hands-on QA experience across the entire e-commerce stack, including the storefront, the back office, and third-party logistics. You know exceptional work when you see it and you instill this passion in others.

In this fast-paced, startup-like environment, you’ll be focused on inventing, measuring, and iterating to create joyful, accessible experiences for children and families. You are equally motivated by great products and great impact, deeply inspired by our focus on expanding access to quality early childhood education and experiences.
