About this role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll be part of the Corporate Information Technology operations team.  You’ll fill the role of Okta subject matter expert and will be responsible for managing and administering the Okta environment/s at Udemy.  Additionally you’ll provide supplemental tier 3 support and administration of Udemy’s Corporate IT tech stack including but not limited to Google Workspace, JAMF, Intune/M365/Azure, Slack, 1Password, Zoom. 

What you'll be doing

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Okta platform and services
  • Evaluate the Okta organizational structure, system configuration, application integrations and make recommendations for operational or security enhancements
  • Implement and drive the adoption of Okta best practices and assist in documentation 
  • Take ownership of Okta Production/Sandbox/Development environments and be responsible for the daily on-going maintenance/support
  • Perform repeatable processes for Okta application onboarding, including requirements gathering, app integration, documentation and the handoff to the business
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve any and all technical issues within Okta or integrated applications

What you’ll have

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology Operations role
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience supporting, maintaining, integrating, and implementing IAM cloud/on-prem environments
  • 3+ years’ experience managing Okta IdP environments
  • Advanced knowledge in key Okta IAM concepts and methodologies including but not limited to, Single Sign On, Multi-Factor Authentication, Advanced Lifecycle Management, and Okta Workflows
  • Proficiency with SSO protocols such as SAML 2.0, OIDC, and SWA
  • Strong knowledge and experience using SCIM for application user provisioning
  • Experience supporting HR system integrations with Okta for profile sourcing and lifecycle management
