Overview
The Senior Technical Training Specialist (Microsoft SharePoint) plays a pivotal role in empowering business end-users to effectively utilize Microsoft SharePoint. This position focuses on designing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive training to diverse end-user groups, ensuring they gain the knowledge and skills required for successful adoption of the system.

The role involves creating engaging user-friendly technical training materials, including guides, tutorials, and e-learning modules, to support a variety of learning styles and technical proficiencies. The Senior Technical Training Specialist also develops and executes communication strategies to keep end-users informed about updates, best practices, and new features, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. This position is instrumental in driving user engagement, enhancing productivity, and optimizing the overall value of this critical application within the organization.

How you'll make an impact
  • Develops, updates, and delivers training courses/materials focused on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of off-the-shelf and customized end user system application
  • Applies foundational knowledge of IT software and systems to design curriculum/content (tests, visual aids, etc.), select appropriate delivery mechanisms (i.e., virtual class, webcast, e-learning, etc.), and conduct training
  • Develops training documentation, using a variety of delivery mediums
  • Prepares, delivers and monitors status reports for evaluating training and adoption progress
  • Develops and executes communication strategies to keep new and existing end-users informed about updates, best practices, and new releases
  • Designs training curricula and content to support training and ongoing learning/troubleshooting
  • Works closely with developers and business analysts and as appropriate, gathers, and assists with validating business requirements and conduct system tests

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience required including project support
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Superior presentation skills
  • Experience in insurance or financial services preferred
  • Formal project management training or certification preferred
  • Commitment to customer service excellence and alignment with Dominant priorities
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to influence adoption
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage shifting priorities, and take direction as needed
