ROLE OVERVIEW
Brainly is looking for a Senior UX Copywriter who blends strategic brand thinking, data-informed growth obsession for consumer apps, and understanding of educational audiences — all while leading the thoughtful integration of AI to amplify creativity and drive scale.
You’ll own end-to-end strategy and creation that drives measurable impact on growth metrics like acquisition, activation, and retention. Your copy will guide millions of students, parents, and teachers through intuitive, trustworthy, and emotionally resonant experiences — from onboarding flows to in-app messages and feature launches.
You won’t just write great copy — you’ll lead how great copy is made at scale. You’ll champion scalable tools and workflows that empower cross-functional teams to create consistent, high-quality content. As a thought leader in AI-enhanced writing, you’ll spearhead the adoption of new tools to boost efficiency and personalization, all while preserving the human touch that defines our brand.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Proactive Brand and UX Impact: Act as a proactive and independent expert to build excellent user experience across all product touchpoints. You’ll be a key asset for high-level stakeholders supporting them in decisionmaking regarding product communication.
- AI Leadership and Enablement: Lead the strategic implementation of AI technologies in UX copywriting across the organization. Champion scalable solutions, tools, and best practices that empower cross-functional teams to harness AI-driven content creation, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and innovation at every level.
- Multiple Stakeholder Management: Act as the critical connector between Brand Marketing and Product stakeholders, embedding brand principles, user insights and stakeholder feedback and expectations into every aspect of UX copywriting.
- Audience-Centric Copywriting: Write crisp, clear, and empathetic copy tailored for middle schoolers, high schoolers, college students, parents, and teachers — from onboarding flows to in-app messages, notifications, features, and beyond.
- Growth-Driven Content: Craft UX copy that not only improves the user journey but actively drives growth KPIs like acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization within our consumer app ecosystem.
- Impact Beyond Copy: Design in a wider context, moving beyond just copy. Ensure your work takes into consideration a wider context of the entire user journey and focuses on the communication flow across products. Your job will be to ensure that our products exceed the expectations of users.
- AI-Driven Content Strategy with a Human Touch: Leverage AI tools to brainstorm, draft, and optimize content, enhancing speed and creativity while ensuring accuracy, emotional resonance, and alignment with brand voice, while staying informed on evolving trends and ethical practices in AI-powered content creation.
WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT CANDIDATE
- 5+ years of experience in UX copywriting, product content strategy, or brand messaging for consumer-facing apps or platforms. That said, if you don’t quite meet the 5-year mark but have relevant experience and a strong point of view, we’d still love to hear from you.
- Experience writing for younger audiences (students) and/or education-related products is highly preferred.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX copywriting excellence, voice consistency, inclusive language practices, and impact on growth or engagement.
- Deep empathy for educational journeys and the emotional needs of students, parents, and teachers.
- Proven success in driving product growth through strategic, user-centered copy.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and bring stakeholders into the content development process.
- Familiarity with data-driven content iteration (A/B testing, user research insights, analytics).
- Comfort using AI writing and design tools for ideation, drafting, or productivity.
- Experience prompting or training AI writing tools for better outputs strongly preferred.
- A passion for Brainly’s mission to democratize learning with AI.
