Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary 
Finance Assistants review, process, and record SGA financial transactions and communicate processes, decisions, and policies accordingly. This is a non-elected, paid position.

Responsibilities 
❖ Review check requests to ensure that all necessary documentation is attached and accurate and prepare for the Director of Finance to process.
❖ Communicate effectively both in person and through email with students and student organizations on SGA financial processes, missing information, and responses to general inquiries.
❖ Document check request information in Excel for record keeping purposes
❖ Assist Director of Finance with record keeping ensuring that all financial documents are maintained appropriately
❖ Maintain professional and timely communication with the Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, and other Finance Assistants.
❖ Maintain understanding of Chapman fiscal policies and effectively communicate these policies to Chapman students and organizations.
❖ Assist in Student Government Association events as requested.
❖ Assist in other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications  | Attention to detail, self-motivation, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Desired Qualifications  | The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude and a passion for SGA, and Chapman University. A major in business, economics, or accounting is preferred.
