The Snr. Analytics Engineer sits at the intersection of Data Analytics and Data Engineering, and is responsible for bringing robust, efficient, and integrated data models and products to life. This role owns the data transformation layer - making sure data is ingested, transformed, scheduled, and ready to be used for analytics. The successful Analytics Engineer speaks the language of business teams and technical teams and is able to blend business acumen with technical expertise and transition between business strategy and data development.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes high engineering quality SQL and Python based transformations running in cloud data warehouses (in ELT fashion)
  • Serves as the responsible individual for major sections of the Enterprise Dimensional Model through model design, code development, reviews, pairing, and training to deliver optimal and scalable database designs and queries
  • Leads four or more departmental analytics engineer projects from beginning to operationalization
  • Setup threat intelligence metrics dashboards across a variety of knowbe4’s products
  • Understand core product features and come up with new metrics to track the efficacy of these products
  • Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to establish and refine requirements
  • Contribute directly to existing data pipelines when building out new metrics 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent plus 8 years experience
  • MS or equivalent plus 3 years experience
  • Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experience
  • Experience with common SQL and no-sql databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB
  • An understanding of machine learning and statistical methods and how they are applied
  • Experience using Data Science libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and Scikit-Learn
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Quicksights, Looker and PowerBi
  • Able to leverage structured formats like JSON, YAML and related technologies to build scalable, testable applications in Docker and other tools.
  • Ability to appropriately use GenAI to accelerate their learning and development
  • Understanding of web frameworks (FastApi, Flask, Django, Rails, Laravel)
  • Great communicator and team player
  • Creativity, initiative and acute attention to detail
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) particularly Athena, Sagemaker, EMR and Step Functions

The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000 - $158,000, which will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description listed above.
