About The Role: 
Outschool is seeking a creative and strategic Social Content Creator to lead the charge on video content across TikTok and YouTube. In this part-time, contract role (~30 hours per week), you'll create engaging video content that connects with parents and educators, builds our brand voice, and grows our organic social media presence. You'll be the driving force behind our short-form video strategy, helping us show up in meaningful, authentic ways on the platforms where parents are spending time. This is a remote-friendly position.

Core Responsibilities: 
  • Create, film, and edit engaging video content for TikTok and YouTube that resonates with parents of K–12 learners
  • Manage Outschool’s TikTok and YouTube channels, including scheduling and posting content
  • Monitor and respond to comments to foster community engagement and build trust
  • Stay up to date on platform trends and best practices to inform content strategy
  • Analyze performance of content and iterate based on what’s working
  • Work closely with Outschool’s brand and marketing teams to align content with broader messaging and goals

Desired Experience & Skills: 
  • Proven experience creating short-form video content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms
  • Strong on-camera presence and video editing skills
  • Deep understanding of what drives engagement and growth on TikTok and YouTube
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with an eye for storytelling
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment

Outschool recruits across the US and Canada, and sets employee salaries to reflect local compensation and cost of living. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $40.00.
