Overview: 
Social Media Specialist
 
The Social Media Specialist is a results-driven individual who is passionate about connecting with people interested in entering the skilled trades. Reporting to the Manager of Digital Content, this critical role is responsible for actively managing the company's online reputation, driving positive engagement, crafting engaging content, and managing our social media influencer program. The Social Media Specialist is a creative thinker and storyteller with strong writing skills who is able to translate the company's voice and tone for social media, track social conversations, and make our content accessible and engaging.

Responsibilities: 
  • Work with the Content Manager and agency partners to help run social accounts in order to increase engagement, traffic, and followers
  • Help manage editorial calendars and workflows; create, review, and edit content submitted by third-party partners
  • Package web content (including blog articles) in engaging ways in order to drive social media referral traffic back to our website where people can fill out lead forms
  • Optimize and execute the community engagement strategy through monitoring conversations and respond when needed to address concerns and ensure the company is being represented in a positive manner
  • Provide a timely response to individuals requesting information through the company's social media channels
  • Foster and build relationships with community power users and influencers
  • Track and analyze data to help improve overall social media marketing performance
  • Report on content topics that drive the most engagement, frequent comments and questions that need to be addressed, and overall sentiment across our social channels in order to improve our overall social media content marketing strategy
  • Work with social media influencers to increase awareness and positive sentiment
  • Ensure that all communications are compliant

Qualifications:
Education/Experiences
  • HS Diploma/GED (required);
  • Associate's degree in marketing, social media, digital marketing, or other related field (preferred)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience (required); Specific agency social media role experience (preferred)

  • Write persuasive, action-oriented content across platforms, aligning with brand objectives
  • Execute social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and emerging platforms
  • Conceptualize and deliver creative social strategies that drive engagement and growth
  • Provide exceptional customer service through timely, thoughtful communication
  • Develop and manage editorial calendars for multiple social media accounts
  • Monitor, moderate, and engage in social media communities to protect and enhance brand reputation
  • Apply brand standards, voice, and tone to content while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
  • Organize and manage multiple projects and competing priorities with efficiency and accuracy
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality output

Work Environment
